In study visits to Buriton in 2018 and 2019, Pam Bruce and the late Annabelle Hughes examined the history of a number of individual houses and formed a picture of how the village has developed over the centuries.
Pam has experience of investigating, analysing and making written records of buildings. She believes that through examining and recording the buildings of a village, a better understanding can be gained of the way that a locality has developed over the centuries – and helps towards shaping and protecting its future.
This illustrated talk will provide insights into how anyone can begin to research the history of their own home as well as revealing what she and Annabelle discovered about the history of Buriton.
Starting at 7.30pm in Buriton Village Hall, entry is free (with a retiring collection) and everyone is welcome.
